    Mission: Nasha Shkola aspires to be a multi-cultural charter school committed to exceptional education in all areas of academic inquiry with an emphasis on Russian Language and Culture, providing structured and responsive learning environment based upon educational best practices for all students and their families.
    Vision: To be an academically rigorous school preparing students for continued success as motivated learners and global citizens.

    1. Financial Report: August 2025
      • Fund 01
        • As of September 30, 2025 the school has received in Fund 01 a total of $380,199 of current Fiscal Year State, Federal, and Local revenues which is 21% of its current budgeted amount.
        • As of September 30, 2025 the school has expended in Fund 01 $349,989 which is 20% of its current budgeted expense.
        • Nasha Shkola Charter School ended September 2025 with a current fiscal year to date Fund 01 positive balance (revenues received less expenditures incurred) of $30,210.
      • Fund 02
        • As of September 30, 2025 the school has received in Fund 02 a total of $3,177 of current Fiscal Year State, Federal, and Local revenues which is 3% of its current budgeted amount.
        • As of September 30, 2025 the school has expended in Fund 02 $20,593 which is 17% of current budgeted expense.
        • Nasha Shkola Charter School ended September 2025 with a current fiscal year to date Fund 02 deficit balance (revenues received less expenditures incurred) of ($17,415).
      • Fund 04
        • As of September 30, 2025 the school has received in Fund 04 a total of $548 of current Fiscal Year State, Federal, and Local revenues which is 38% of its current budgeted amount.
        • As of September 30, 2025 the school has expended in Fund 04 $88 which is 6% of its current budgeted expense.
        • Nasha Shkola Charter School ended September 2025 with a current fiscal year to date Fund 04 positive balance (revenues received less expenditures incurred) of $459.
      • General notes:
        • Nasha Shkola Charter School had a total cash balance of $519,943 at the end of September 2025 reflected across all funds.
        • Nasha Shkola Charter School had a balance of $44,013 in accounts receivable at September 30, 2025.
        • There was a balance of $184,536 in current liabilities for general accounts payable and payroll liabilities at September 30, 2025. A portion of the liability is for payroll withholdings on the last day of the month which are not paid until the first days of the next month, thus they are reflected on the current balance sheet.
        • The Adopted Budget is based on 125 ADM/pupil units. State aid is being paid on 125.4 ADM and 128.2 Pupil Units. Current ADM is at 143.
    2. FY25 Audit Report ABD0
      The external audit for fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, was completed with a clean (unmodified) opinion. No material weaknesses in internal controls were identified. Two compliance findings were noted: (1) insufficient collateral coverage due to unexpected ERC funds, and (2) several late payments outside the 35-day limit set by Minnesota statute. Management agreed with both findings and will implement corrective procedures. Overall, the auditors reported sound financial management and expressed gratitude to the School for its cooperation.
    3. Executive Director’s report
      • Current enrollment is 149 students.
      • MDE reports: The STAR report is being completed.
      • The Annual Report will be presented at the next board meeting; to be completed by December 1.
      • School has been approved for the Read Act training. 9 staff will begin OL&LA (Online Language and Literacy Academy – CORE Learning) in January 2026
      • Fall assessment completed: baseline NWEA, The English Language Learner screener, FastBridge Reading, and Groves Beginning of the Year assessments (for grades K-3)
      • PD update: GLP/ Science of Reading book study will be led by school Reading Coaches
      • Search for 0.5 FTE general paraprofessional
      • Parent-teacher conferences took place on October 10th, 2025. Parents who did not attend the conferences are being contacted for make-up conference meetings.
      • The last day of Quarter 1 will be on Thursday, October 30th, 2025.
      • The first PTO meeting took place on Thursday, October 9th, 2025.
      • After school programs and activities are being planned to take place in the coming months.
      • “High School Orientation” will be held online for the 8th grade parents: November 20, 2025
