Mission: Nasha Shkola will be a multi-cultural charter school committed to academic excellence, provide a highly structured learning environment based upon educational best practices for students interested in the Russian language and culture, achieved through the collaborative efforts of parents, staff and the communities we serve.

Elections
Election Procedure as outlined in the By-laws . The election will continue until 2:00 PM in the afternoon. Stakeholders will receive ballot at the school office according to the procedure outlined in the school Bylaws:ANNUAL MEETING
Annual Meeting.
An annual meeting of the members of the Corporation shall be held annually prior to the end of the school year while school is still in session at such time and location as determined by the Board of Directors, but in no event later than the last day of school of the school year during which the Corporation is in existence. The meeting shall be public under the Minnesota Open Meeting Law (Mn. Stat. 13D.01 et seq). Notification shall be by newsletter, e-mail or other postal service mailed first class not later than thirty (30) days prior to the meeting date. Such notice shall contain the date, time and place of the meeting.
Purpose.
The purpose of the annual meeting shall be the election of the Board of Directors for the corporation and other activities deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors including the election of officers to the Board, establishing committees and membership and establishing the meeting dates for regular meetings.
Quorum.
For any annual meeting, ten (10) percent of the total number of eligible voting members shall constitute a quorum. Eligible members shall consist of:
All staff members employed at the school;
All parents or legal guardians of students currently enrolled and attending the school; and
The current Board of Directors
Voting.
At the annual meeting of the membership, every voting member shall have one (1) vote. Members may vote in person only. The affirmative vote of a majority of a quorum of voting members shall constitute a duly authorized action of the membership.

1 teacher position:
1 year service – Christian Schmidt, Social Studies teacher (returning, has served on the board since October, 2014; 3 years with the school)
3 parent positions:
2 year service – Alexej Abyzov (returning, background: medical scientist; active parent of two children in Nasha Shkola; has served on the board since July of 2016)
3 community positions:
1 year service – Yelena Kurdyumova (new candidate: linguist, interpreter, journalist & photographer, sportswoman & coach, community leader in Brooklyn Park).
