Board of Directors Meeting Minutes: July 21, 2026

    Mission: Nasha Shkola aspires to be a multi-cultural charter school committed to exceptional education in all areas of academic inquiry with an emphasis on Russian Language and Culture, providing structured and responsive learning environment based upon educational best practices for all students and their families.
    Vision: To be an academically rigorous school preparing students for continued success as motivated learners and global citizens.

      1. Executive Director Report:
        • VPK family meetings continue taking place along with new prospective families in other grades.
        • The previously hired gym teacher had rescinded his offer.
        • The school is continuing to look for candidates for elementary and middle school positions along with physical education.
        • The Slavic Expo event will be taking place on August 1st. We are looking for board members to be present during this event.
        • The Title grant is continued to be revised and will be submitted soon.
        • The school yearbook is being developed.
      2. Financial Report: June 2026
        • Fund 01
          • As of June 30, 2026 the school has received in Fund 01 a total of $1,854,373 of current Fiscal Year State, Federal, and Local revenues which is 88% of its current budgeted amount.
          • As of June 30, 2026 the school has expended in Fund 01 $1,748,269 which is 88% of its current budgeted expense.
          • Nasha Shkola Charter School ended June 2026 with a current fiscal year to date Fund 01 positive balance (revenues received less expenditures incurred) of $106,105.
        • Fund 02
          • As of June 30, 2026 the school has received in Fund 02 a total of $143,468 of current Fiscal Year State, Federal, and Local revenues which is 118% of its current budgeted amount.
          • As of June 30, 2026 the school has expended in Fund 02 $129,951 which is 107% of its current budgeted expense.
          • Nasha Skhola Charter School ended June 2026 with a current fiscal year to date Fund 02 positive balance (revenues received less expenditures incurred) of $12,516.
        • Fund 04
          • As of June 30, 2026 the school has received in Fund 04 a total $2,201 of current Fiscal Year State, Federal, and Local revenues which is 84% of its current budgeted amount.
          • As of June 30, 2026 the school has expended in Fund 04 $2,145 which is 82% of its current budgeted expense.
          • Nasha Shkola Charter School ended June 2026 with a current fiscal year to date Fund 04 positive balance (revenues received less expenditures incurred) of $56.
        • General Notes:
          • Nasha Shkola Charter School had a total cash balance of $551,684 at the end of June 2026 reflected across all funds.
          • Nasha Shkola Charter School had a balance of ($1,973) in accounts receivable at June 30, 2026.
          • There was a balance of $87,499 in current liabilities for general accounts payable and payroll liabilities in June 30, 2026. A portion of the liability is for payroll withholdings on the last day of the month which are not paid until the first days of the next month, thus they are reflected on the current balance sheet.
          • Overall, fund balance on June 30, 2026 totaled $381,165 (including fund 01, 02, 04). Through the current fiscal year, the School has an overall net income of $119,677 across all funds, on a cash basis.
          • Fixed assets investment and long term debt total $7,234 on June 30, 2026.
          • The Revised Budget is based on 140 ADM/142.6 Pupil Units. State aid is being paid on 139.4 ADM and 142.6 Pupil Units.
          • Current ADM is at 143.01/146 Pupil Units.
