    Mission: Nasha Shkola aspires to be a multi-cultural charter school committed to exceptional education in all areas of academic inquiry with an emphasis on Russian Language and Culture, providing structured and responsive learning environment based upon educational best practices for all students and their families.
    Vision: To be an academically rigorous school preparing students for continued success as motivated learners and global citizens.

      1. Enrollment projections: 120 students are enrolled for the upcoming school year.

        • We are continuing to look for an English Language Arts teacher for middle school, a full-time Russian language teacher and a Special Education paraprofessional.

        • Fund 01:
          • As of June 30, 2022 the school has received in Fund 01 a total of $1,857,671 of current Fiscal Year State, Federal, and Local revenues which is 100% of its current budgeted amount.
          • As of June 30, 2022 the school has expended in Fund 01 $1,640,326 which is 100% of its current budgeted expense.
          • NS ended June 2022 with a current fiscal year to date Fund 01 positive balance (revenues received less expenditures incurred) of $217,345.
        • Fund 02:
          • As of June 30, 2022 the school has received in Fund 02 a total of $66,174 of current Fiscal Year State, Federal, and Local revenues which is 105% of its current budgeted amount.
          • As of June 30, 2022 the school has expended in Fund 02 $62,936 which is 99% of its current budgeted expense.
          • NS ended June 2022 with a current fiscal year to date Fund 02 positive balance (revenues received less expenditures incurred) of $3,238.
        • At the end of June 2022, NS had a total cash balance of $352,861 reflected across all funds.
        • At June 30, 2022, NS had a balance of $265,962 in accounts receivable.
        • At June 30, 2022, there was a balance of $148,434 in current liabilities for general accounts payable and payroll liabilities.
        • At June 30, 2022, NS had an overall audited fund balance of $285,396, which includes its investments in fixed assets.
        • The Revised Budget Approved is based on 130 ADM and 135 pupil units.
        • State aid is being paid on 130 ADM or 135 Pupil Unit.
        • The June MARSS report shows 133.75 ADM and 137.42 pupil units.

          • As of July 31, 2022 the school has received in Fund 01 a total of $108,704 of current Fiscal Year State, Federal, and Local revenues which is 6% of its current budgeted amount.
          • As of July 31, 2022 the school has expended in Fund 01 $71,818 which is 4% of its current budgeted expense.
          • NS ended July 2022 with a current fiscal year to date Fund 01 positive balance (revenues received less expenditures incurred) of $36,887.
        • Fund 02:
          • As of July 31, 2022 the school has received in Fund 02 a total of $0 of current Fiscal Year State, Federal, and Local revenues which is 0% of its current budgeted amount.
          • As of July 31, 2022 NS has expended in Fund 02 $943 which is 1% of its current budgeted expense.
            NS ended July 2022 with a current fiscal year to date Fund 02 deficit balance (revenues received less expenditures incurred) of ($943).
          • At the end of July 2022, NS had a total cash balance of $401,192 reflected across all funds.
        • At July 31, 2022, NS had a balance of $208,039 in accounts receivable.
        • At July 31, 2022, there was a balance of $102,898 in current liabilities for general accounts payable and payroll liabilities.
        • At July 31, 2022, NS had an overall audited fund balance of $505,979 which includes its investments in fixed assets.
        • The Adopted Budget Approved is based on 130 ADM or 135 pupil units.
        • State aid is being paid on 135 ADM or 141 Pupil Unit.

  6. Old Business
    1. Operations Update:
      • We are working with the landlord to complete the fire code inspection items.
      • Fire code strobe lights need to be installed by professionals.
      • The fire marshall will be available for an inspection on September 8th. This does not prevent us from having students and staff in the building.
      • We need the fire inspection to pass in order to apply for Lease Aid which is due by November 1st.
    2. Cell Phone Policy update:
      • The Cell Phone Policy is continuing to be revised and will be approved in a later meeting.
  7. New Business
    1. IQS Annual Review 21-22:
      • IQS will draft a contract to the board around March or April.
      • The board will need to approve the contract during the May or June board meeting.
    2. Strategic Plan: setting annual goals
    3. Safe Return to In-Person Learning Plan FY23:
      • The state has limited the number of Distance Learning days.
      • We are allowed to have e-Learning days only during “snow” or “cold” days.
